For the project Anne Frank The Podcast, I designed the visual world, from the logo to the poster, as well as the screen design of the website. Special thanks here to
Wild for great ideas, input and perfecting the user experience of the website – it was a pleasure!
I am also very pleased that this project has received so much recognition and has won many awards: Joseph Binder Award, CCA, ADC Europe, Austrian National Award for Advertising and PR.
46 well-known personalities read one of the most important contemporary documents of the 20th century: The audiovisual project Anne Frank The Podcast fights young people’s gaps in knowledge about Nazi crimes. The memory of the crimes of the Nazi regime is beginning to fade: According to Der Spiegel, only 59% of German schoolchildren aged 14 and older know that Auschwitz-Birkenau was a Nazi concentration camp. 81% of Austrian schoolchildren were either unable to provide a definition of the term “anti-Semitism” at all or could only give an incorrect definition, according to a survey conducted by
das profil. The project aims to raise awareness among young people about the crimes of the Nazis: On the website, the famous diary was edited chronologically and audiovisually, and the podcast episodes were voiced by well-known personalities and influencers from Germany and Austria.
The website and podcast went online on 27 January 2022 - the 77th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
